A National Security Law - coming into effect a day before the handover’s anniversary - sparks fresh street protests and inspires renewed reflections about promises, destinies and aspirations. Former student-activist and fresh graduate, Ho Oi, seeks a job amidst the city‘s deepest ever recession; volunteer constable Ah Him recounts being ostracized by peers for his career choices. Set amidst key political events in 2020, this is the second in a four-part observational documentary portraying people grappling with change sweeping across their city and their lives.
