Five individuals born 23 years ago, on the year of Hong Kong’s handover, navigate a tempest of change. A National Security Law - coming into effect a day before the handover’s anniversary - sparks fresh street protests and inspires renewed reflections about promises, destinies and aspirations. Former student-activist and fresh graduate, Ho Oi, seeks a job amidst the city‘s deepest ever recession; volunteer constable Ah Him recounts being ostracized by peers for his career choices.
