These days the world seems to be erupting in protests over controversial laws. And Jakarta, Indonesia, is ground zero for the latest mass demonstration. Thousands of Indonesian students in Jakarta have surrounded the parliament building in protest of a controversial criminal code that would outlaw extramarital affairs, weaken the country’s anti-corruption body, and many other things. Our Asian Boss team in Indonesia hit the streets of Jakarta to speak directly with the protestors to understand why they are protesting and to find out how ordinary Jakartans feel about them. The opinions expressed in this video are those of individual interviewees alone and do not reflect the views of ASIAN BOSS or the general Indonesian population.
