It has been six months since nearly 200 countries came together at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference – or COP26 – to commit to taking action on climate change. CNA Correspondent finds out how communities in three countries in Asia are weathering – and trying to solve – the climate crisis. In flood-prone Mumbai, poorer households especially are finding themselves in deep water as the monsoon season approaches. In a rice-growing region in Indonesia, fears of declining yields are prompting farmers to pick up new tools of the trade. Over in China, we look at attempts to manage the population’s appetite for meat, and switch to eco-friendly alternatives.
