
Fancy sliding stones across slippery ice, while sweeping strenuously? National cricketer G K Diviya is swapping her cricket bat for…a broom? A curling broom that is. Diviya joins the Equatorial Curling Club for an icy sport that looks rather out of place in sweltering Singapore. Curling has been played in Singapore for over 20 years, all while faced with limited playing space, lack of funding and little media attention. Despite these odds, the small group of Singaporean curling enthusiasts have begun to compete internationally.
