Are spiritual healers conmen or convincing conjurers? That’s what comedian Rishi Budhrani wants to find out, as he apprentices himself with a coven of witches in Singapore. Rishi first meets Dark Witch Bambi, who runs The Love Witch, a shop selling mystical paraphernalia and spells. As he dabbles in the dark arts, he learns more about his own magical potential. This could be as close to enrolling in Hogwarts as it gets! Wanting to discover more about his latent psychic abilities, Rishi arranges a session with Ezekiel Ong, who claims to communicate with animals, both alive and dead. In a very emotional encounter with the owners of a deceased dog, Rishi ends up questioning his own scepticism of the supernatural. Finally, he performs a spell to rid a friend of a past trauma. Rishi wonders if what he had witnessed was real healing, or just hocus pocus. =========== About On The Red Dot: CNA's weekly programme documents the stories of ordinary Singaporeans and celebrates their resilience, identity and sense of belonging. =========== On The Red Dot playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkMf14VQEvTYbQaR9ddxnJmJRangPrY5f #CNAInsider #OnTheRedDot #JustDontTellMum #Witch #Psychic For more, SUBSCRIBE to CNA INSIDER! https://cna.asia/insideryoutubesub Follow CNA INSIDER on: Instagram: https://ift.tt/2C3sZiR Facebook: https://ift.tt/2PPEuNA Website: https://cna.asia/cnainsider
