Germany is one of the few countries that don’t require Singaporean travellers to serve quarantine on arrival. But before you book a trip, what do you need to know about getting around there? Even better, Singapore now offers Vaccinated Travel Lanes with Germany and Brunei for passengers who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Those returning to Singapore on designated VTL flights (by Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa and Royal Brunei Airlines) don’t need to serve a stay-home notice. But there are conditions, such as 4 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests to take. Under the VTL, Germany recognises Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty, Moderna or other World Health Organisation Emergency Use Listing vaccines. Sinovac isn’t recognised. As of Oct 4, 2021, 64.7% of German residents are fully vaccinated, and daily new cases numbered less than 5,000.
