How To Make A Panda Baby, The Singapore Way

Singapore’s first giant panda cub was born on 14 August 2021 in Singapore River Safari to panda couple Jia Jia and Kai Kai after seven years of trying. The baby boy weighed 200g at birth. Giant pandas are typically solitary and brought together for a few days only during the mating season. Even so, female pandas are only fertile for a short 48 hours a year. It’s another year’s wait if the window is missed. At the first mating season in 2015, male panda Kai Kai didn’t know what to do despite the sexual attraction. The panda keepers created a ‘curriculum’ to assist in the breeding plans. 00:00 Watching panda porn. 00:47 Training Kai Kai’s stamina so that he can mount Jia Jia for prolonged periods. 01:03 Squat training to strengthen Kai Kai’s hind legs. 01:21 Swapping pee in enclosures to stimulate and boost mating instincts. During the seventh breeding season in 2021, Kai Kai still wasn’t mounting successfully. The keepers turned to artificial insemination which has an 18.5% chance of success. On Aug 10, 2021, the pregnancy was discovered and 4 days later, the cub was born. On Day 40, Sep 22, 2021, the baby boy opened his eyes. As of Oct 7 2021, the panda cub weighs 3.072kg.
