Communist North Korea and capitalist South Korea remain officially at war after nearly 70 years. This week on CNA Correspondent, Lim Yun Suk speaks to Koreans, both from the North and the South, to understand the tragedy of a divided nation, torn apart by different ideologies. Among them is a former North Korean singer, once referred to as the Number One singer in Chongjin, who fled to South Korea with her son. But she still longs for the day she can reunite with her mother, who remains in North Korea. And closer to the heavily militarised border, Yun Suk speaks with residents who have grown accustomed to the sounds of artillery firing exercises that take place near their homes, to find out what they think of reunification.
