How do you help a drug abuser stay clean? In 2019, 20-year-old Lisa (not her real name) was sentenced to 24 months’ probation for substance abuse. Assigned to a probation officer from the Probation and Community Rehabilitation Service of the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Lisa has made progress, staying clean and out of trouble, securing a job and enrolling in school. But the biggest obstacle to her rehabilitation is her father, who cannot forgive her past transgresses and constantly berates her. In this observational documentary, we track what happens to probationers like Lisa over several months.
