Did you know that Singapore has no textile recycling plant? The only way to recycle your old clothes is to export them overseas. In 2019, Singapore generated 168,000 tonnes of textile and leather waste, out of which only 4% was recycled. That’s about 5,500 fully loaded 40-foot shipping containers, or the equivalent weight of 23,000 male African elephants. She picks out a pair of jeans, a long-sleeved black top, a midi floral skirt, a jade formal long-sleeve shirt and a little black dress. With accessories and layering, she creates 10 different #OOTDs (Outfits Of The Day). During the 10-day challenge, Sharda tried various combinations to switch up her looks and make the outfits work for what she was doing that day.
