Swimmer Mike Eu, 74, is a former Singapore Olympian and a current competitive surfer who thinks that gaming does not belong in the SEA Games 2019 which featured e-sports for the first time. Gamer Thomas ‘Blysk’ Kopankiewicz, 24 - who specialises in StarCraft II and won a silver for Singapore at the 2019 SEA Games - is convinced that esports has a place in legit sporting events. We pit a baby boomer athlete and a millennial gamer in an honest conversation, and they find that they might have more in common than they think. Thomas has also placed in StarCraft II regional competitions such as the Auscraft Invitational 2020 and Melbourne Starcraft Open 2019. He holds a full-time job with YouTube channel Wah!Banana. His next goal - the gold medal at the next SEA Games.
