At 14, Dalton Prescott Ng launched his first business, which failed. At 16, he had an edutech start-up, and was the youngest Singaporean to win a scholarship to the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. These days, he’s founder and Chief Technology Officer of OohSpots, a start-up that sells outdoor advertising placements. All while doing a diploma in infocomm security management at Singapore Polytechnic, and recently serving an internship at DSO National Laboratories, Singapore’s largest defence R&D organisation, where he worked on cybersecurity-related apps. He taught himself how to code at 11 in order to build custom maps and mods for Minecraft. Dalton talks about some of the challenges he faces as a teen entrepreneur, like getting investors to take him seriously.
