
Before it became known as ground zero of a deadly coronavirus outbreak, Wuhan was the breakfast capital of China. The city is famous for its morning street stalls selling rice donuts, dumplings, and bean pies. But the most famous dish is hot dry noodles, a hearty bowl of noodles topped with spicy sesame sauce. We met Daxiong, a Wuhan native who runs a noodle shop in New York, to learn how it’s made.
