Instagram followings are highly coveted. Having lots of followers can lead to fame, wealth, and an escape from the 9-5 normie office job. But how hard is it to really grow an audience? VICE’s Sally Burtnick gave herself a month to create a new Instagram account and get as many followers as she has already on her personal page, which has taken years to cultivate.
