It's a place called BAGAN in the Central part of MYANMAR. I came here once 5 years ago, and I am still blown away by what I am seeing! In short, there were over 10,000 temples and pagodas built in Bagan between the 9th and 13th Centuries, and it was a center for Buddhism worship in South East Asia. Today, about 2,700 of these temples remain, ALL IN ORIGINAL FORM, and they are scattered around an area that's 13 kilometers by 8 kilometers large. It's the biggest UNESCO archeological site in the world. In my opinion, Bagan is 10X more enjoyable than the Angkor region of Cambodia because there's much less tourists here and you can freely roam around on your own to have these magnificent temples all to your self. Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that every morning in Bagan is like a hot air balloon festival! I highly recommend adding Bagan to the very top of your bucket list, and I promise you it won't disappoint! Has anyone out there been to Bagan? Can you back up my thoughts on how amazing it is?
