South Korea is on the verge of a dramatic shift in views about feminism sex, and pornography. The country has struggled for decades with the emergence of spy-cam porn, hidden cameras secretly left recording in public bathrooms, changing rooms, and hotel suites. Violence against women grabbed national headlines and a record number of Korean women have been hitting the streets to protest the ill effects of Korea’s ever-present patriarchy. In this episode of Sex Rated, VICE travels to Seoul to meet with the women trying to break down Korea’s rigid gender roles by sparking new conversations about sex, dating, consent, and kink.
