It’s no secret that Japan has one of the fastest-growing elderly populations in the world. And recently, it was reported that Japan’s birth rate declined to its lowest number on record, and that marriage rates in Japan have halved since the early 1970s. Knowing well the gravity of these social trends, we previously conducted a street interview on how Japanese women view marriage and what they consider to be an ideal marriage partner. This time our Asian Boss reporter Alicia hit the streets of Tokyo to find out what kind of partner Japanese men view as ideal for marriage.
