Six years after releasing her first video on YouTube, Wengie now has more than 14 million subscribers on her main channel (of four). She’s struck it big with a catchy combination of prank videos for school kids (like how to fill mayonnaise into donuts and make your classmate eat it), make-up tutorials, and vlogs. Wengie is quick to turn internet obsessions like unicorns, reaction videos, and slime into fuel for her growing fanbase. Her content might be an acquired taste but it’s still one that’s tickling Australia’s palate. On the back of this popularity she’s launched a K-pop-esque music career, personalised merch, ad even a toy-line. We asked her to give us a quick 101 on how to make it big on the interwebs.
