Since 4th August 2019, the people in the former state of Jammu & Kashmir have been facing a communications blackout. Mobile networks and more importantly, internet access have been severely curtailed following the revocation of Article 370 by the Indian government. The average person who stayed updated through these channels, couldn’t. As SMS services resumed, we found a way to bring them up to speed with the world through ‘The 8-Bit Journo’.
