Could you ever imagine getting married while being in high school? In Indonesia, it is estimated that about 1 out 7 Indonesian girls get married before the age of 18. Recently, the Indonesian government proposed legislation to raise the minimum age for marriage from 16 to 19. The question is, how do the people of Indonesia feel about this proposed change? And why are there are so many cases of child marriage in Indonesia in the first place? We hit the streets of Jakarta to find out. The opinions expressed in this video are those of individual interviewees alone and do not reflect the views of ASIAN BOSS or the general Indonesian population.
