Tasman Keith is a rapper from Bowraville, a hinterland town in the Gumbaynggirr nation, five hours north from Sydney. On the eve of his debut EP release, he returns to his hometown to play a show in his own backyard (literally). We learn of the town's complex past. Divisions drawn in the colonial era to separate the Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, still define the lived experience in many ways. It's a story not-often told, but Tasman and his crew are continuing a Hip Hop tradition, trailblazed by his father, to ensure their voice is as loud as possible whilst making the Mission Famous.
